MERDEKA BBQ!!!

happy 50th MERDEKA, Malaysia!!! 
yeah! we had quite a feast at our lovely home in Bkt Mahkota...  we had a BBQ lunch and maktam and abg nor came to celebrate with us....! 
MENU
BBQ chicken and lamb
grilled prawn and squid
egg and tuna sandwich
salad
Marigold Apple juice
i marinated the chicken and lamb myself....very juicy and succulent BBQ... 
that night, mama baked some cupcakes for auntie Dahlia who is coming the next day for lunch..."strawberry vanilla"..YUMMY....

Comments: the workshop was very informative...but there was lack of time to jalan2...but managed to borong vegetables and strawberries and tea...

another family and friends gathering...

my dad who has already 6 mths pensioned, invited few of his old officemate and relatives to our home in Bukit Mahkota for a lunch...the menu was superb!!!! 
we made:
pecal
cupcakes
we ordered:
nasi putih with lauk nenas ikan masin, mixed vegetable, fried chicken, ulam with sambal belacan
roti jala
laksa penang
kuih bakar
Jihan enjoyed herself very much playing around with Kak Sofea, Abg Ikmal and Adam

more cuppies...(for the party tomorrow)

yeah....! i baked more than 100 pieces of cute cupcakes today (the biggest amount ever...heheheh) two yummiest flavors: moist chocolate cake and vanilla custard
i started baking after stuffing myself with the spaghetti...  and started decorating after dinner and finished 3/4 decorating the cupcakes at around 12MN  i was so sleepy to make more icing to decorate 1/4 of the cupcakes....so i woke up early the next morning to decorate the remaining with some lovely roses....

the italian feast....

we spent our weekend at our lovely home in Bukit Mahkota... atok are going to invite a few of his friends and our close relatives for lunch tomorrow, so there are lots of things to prepare including my 1st mass production of cupcakes for the event tomorrow...
but first, let me stuff the grumbling stomachs of my loved ones with an Italian touch...
MENU:
spaghetti bolognese special
italian salad
the result: very satisfying and absolutely delicious!!
also, not forgetting my lovely kitchen:
a very good oven (Rubine)
a tough and useful mixer (Kenwood Major)
a wedding gift - microwave (Sharp)
a wedding gift - small oven (Cornell)
a very BIG fridge (Samsung)

Jihan kacau mama buat cake.... she broke a bottle of blue food colouring and her feet was totally covered in blue 
papa helped her to wash her feet but it won't come out completely... 
my little mischivious pretended walking limping as if her feet were injured....naughty, naughty....

we went to Muar the next day for our classmate, Zuraidah's wedding  we arrived quite early at 11.30 am just after the solemnization and missed to see the handsome groom... we took a few shots during the wedding and with the beautiful bride....

Venue: Samudera Bidara Resort, Melaka
it was an enjoyable moments for all staffs at my department...we were lost when 1st to find the place  ...we arrived there almost 8pm and had our dinner...we had a few get-together sessions and few talks to improve our work quality and personal development....
the next day, Jihan and papa had a-3 hours splash in the pool... and Jihan was so tanned and flushed
we had a telematch in the evening...my team won 4th place (2nd last)
at night, we had fun singing, dancing, karaoke-ing and Jihan simply loved being in the crowd and joined the fun on the stage...
we had few shots by the beach...not really a sandy beach....
